In Pakistan, more than 85 million people have no meaningful access to adequate healthcare. For a country with a rapidly growing population and rising rates of chronic disease, quality medical treatment remains inaccessible for the majority, not because it doesn't exist, but because it costs too much.
A single specialist consultation at a private hospital costs Rs. 2,000–5,000. A routine surgery can run into hundreds of thousands of rupees. For the 40% of Pakistanis living below or near the poverty line, illness is not just a health crisis, it is also a financial catastrophe.
Baitussalam Welfare Trust's (BWT) Multi-Disciplinary Hospital was founded on a single, non-negotiable belief: healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Our hospital provides free and subsidised specialist care across multiple medical disciplines, ensuring that no patient is turned away because they cannot pay.
Pakistan's public hospital system is severely overstretched. Government hospitals are under-resourced, overcrowded, and unable to meet the scale of need. Private hospitals deliver excellent care, but at prices most families will never be able to afford.
The result is a two-tier system where quality healthcare is a luxury of the wealthy, and the poor are left to suffer without treatment, deteriorate without diagnosis, and die from conditions that are entirely preventable and curable.
BWT's Multi-Disciplinary Hospital exists to close this gap, offering the same quality of specialist care you would find in a private facility, completely free or heavily subsidised for those who cannot afford it.
