Jamaat Time, Jamia Masjid Baitussalam, DHA, Phase 4, Karachi, Pakistan

There are over 4.6 million orphans in Pakistan. Behind every number is a child, a child who has lost a parent to illness, disaster, or poverty; who faces a world without the security and love of a complete family; and who, without intervention, is statistically more likely to fall into poverty, be denied an education, and enter adulthood without the foundation to build a stable life.
The word Saiban (سائبان) means shelter in Urdu. It is precisely what this programme provides, not just a roof, but a complete environment of love, safety, and opportunity for children who have lost their foundation.
Through the Saiban programme, Baitussalam Welfare Trust (BWT) connects generous donors with orphan children, funding every dimension of a child's upbringing from the moment they enter the programme until they are old enough to stand on their own. Your monthly contribution does not just feed a child. It educates them, cares for their health, clothes them, celebrates them, and gives them something every child deserves: a place to call home.

"The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this", and he ﷺ held his index and middle fingers together, close., Sahih al-Bukhari
There is no hadith more direct about the reward of a specific charitable act than this one. The Prophet ﷺ did not compare the caretaker of an orphan to someone near Paradise, he said they will be with him ﷺ. Sponsoring an orphan through Saiban is not just a donation. It is a monthly, continuous act of worship that draws you, every single month, closer to the Prophet ﷺ himself.
And because you are funding a child's education, healthcare, and upbringing, every prayer they pray, every Quran verse they learn, every good deed they do in their lifetime carries your reward too. This is Sadaqah Jariyah at its most powerful.
Sponsoring an orphan through Saiban costs Rs. 10,000 per month (approximately £30 / $35 / €33 per month for international donors). This single monthly contribution covers everything:
|
Food & Nutrition Three meals daily, seven days a week, all year round |
Education School fees, books, uniforms, and stationery for the academic year |
Healthcare All medical consultations, medicines, and emergency care |
|
Clothing & Essentials Seasonal clothing, shoes, and daily necessities |
Shelter & Utilities A share of the housing, utilities, and maintenance of the Saiban facility |
Tarbiyah & Activities Islamic education, co-curricular activities, and Eid celebrations |
You will receive periodic updates on the child you are sponsoring, their progress in school, their health, and their development. Their personal details remain confidential to protect their dignity and safety.

• Illness and disease, including cancer and other life-limiting conditions
