Following are the key challenges faced by orphans from low-income families particularly in Pakistan
Homelessness, inadequate living standards, and profound sense of insecurity deprive orphans of safe spaces for growth and development.
Critical NeedLack of affordability for healthcare services results in malnourishment, chronic diseases, depression, and lack of vaccination against preventable diseases.
Health RiskOrphans from poor families face domestic pressure to engage in child labor, trafficking and violence, adopting unhealthy and antisocial lifestyles.
Protection NeededPoor orphans are deprived of access to quality education due to affordability and are more likely to drop out from school after losing their parent.
Opportunity GapMany poor orphan children lack birth certificates or national identity cards, leading to severe economic exclusion and social vulnerability.
Legal IssueWidows and orphan children are often deprived of claiming assets or property in community or state courts due to lack of legal support and awareness.
Rights ViolationThese interconnected challenges create a cycle of poverty, marginalization, and vulnerability. When orphans face multiple barriers simultaneously—from inadequate shelter and healthcare to educational deprivation—their chances of breaking free from poverty and building a dignified life diminish significantly. This is where Saiban steps in, addressing these challenges holistically through comprehensive kafalat (sponsorship) support.
Saiban ensures that all orphan children registered in Saiban are provided with comprehensive support and care for their holistic development and well-being.
Register all orphan children in NADRA system as citizens of Pakistan with correct information of their deceased father to ensure legal recognition and rights.
