We only collect personal data relevant to the type of interaction you have with us. Whatever is the scope of the interaction, the information collected will be minimal and will be linked to the purpose for which we need it.

When you become a volunteer, make a donation, or subscribe to one of our services we may ask for and retain your personal information including:

• Name and postal address
• Email address
• Telephone or mobile number
• Bank account details (to process donations)

If you participate in an event we may (with your consent) take your photograph, video you or interview you and share them through our various publication channels.

We may collect your data when:

• You give it to us directly — by submitting a form (paper or electronic), registering as a volunteer, making a donation, subscribing to our services, or communicating with us.
• You give it to us indirectly — through a campaigning action with a Baitussalam partner who has published a disclaimer about sharing data with their partners.
• Through social media — when you access us via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, depending on your privacy settings.
• Publicly available information — if your activities relate to our work, such as representing an organisation we may work with.

We hold and process personal data for a number of reasons:

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity. If you request that we stop sending you marketing materials, we will keep a record of your contact details and appropriate information to enable us to comply with your request not to be contacted.

Baitussalam is not in the business of selling your information. However, there are circumstances in which we may share your data:

• Related Companies — with our related companies for purposes consistent with this policy.
• Third Party Service Providers — when we hire companies to perform business-related functions (mailing, databases, payment processing).
